Music, filmed with discipline

ALN | Classics

Classical music, opera and art, filmed with an orchestral ear
— and broadcast discipline.

Classics is the high-culture register of the house: classical and sacred music films, opera, concert and performance films, and art-and-culture documentaries — made for ensembles, cultural institutions, and broadcasters. The edit is cut directly from the score by a former orchestral violinist, the coverage is built for the room and the music, and the master is delivered to broadcast standard in Polish, English, and German.

§ II / VIIThe work

Selected commissions

Music and culture, on the record.

Classics is a body of work, not a menu. These are real ALN commissions in the classical and cultural register: a sacred liturgical concert film built from thirty-eight cameras and broadcast nationally, a military-orchestra memorial coordinated across eight locations worldwide, and concert and culture films for ensembles and festivals. Press play, or open the full page for the stills and the verifiable broadcast credits behind each one.

§ III / VIIWhat it takes

The classical standard

Filming music is its own discipline.

A concert is not a press conference. The picture has to follow the music, the cameras have to disappear into a sacred or ceremonial room, and the sound has to be recorded to a standard the performers will defend. This is what a classical or cultural commission actually demands — and where ALN has the broadcast credits to prove it.

  1. 01

    Cut from the score

The edit is led by a former orchestral violinist who cuts directly from the music score — following the phrase, the entries, and the dialogue between players, so the picture serves the performance rather than chasing visual interest. It is how Missa Vaticana was assembled from thirty-eight camera feeds.

  2. 02

    Built for the room

Coverage is planned for the venue — concert hall, opera house, church, or festival stage — with discreet positions that respect a sacred or ceremonial space and the sightlines of a live audience. Eschatophony coordinated a hundred operators across eight locations into one synchronous record.

  3. 03

    Sound the performers defend

Music is recorded separately and mastered with the same care as the picture, so the film honours the acoustics of the performance rather than flattening them. The result holds up on a phone today and on a concert-hall projection in fifty years.

  4. 04

    Delivered for broadcast

Masters are finished to broadcast standard and delivered natively in Polish, English, and German — the languages cultural institutions, festivals, and broadcasters actually need. Missa Vaticana went to air on TVP Kultura; your commission is built to clear the same bar.

§ IV / VIIHow a commission is made

From score to broadcast

A path the music can trust.

Filming a performance well cannot be improvised on the day. From the first conversation to the broadcast master, a Classics commission is planned around the score, the venue, and the ensemble — so the cameras are ready before the downbeat and the film does justice to the music. This is the path every commission travels.

  1. 01

    The conversation

An unhurried call — no slides, no pressure. We listen for the work, the ensemble, the venue, and where it needs to be seen, and find the shape the film should take before anything is committed.

  2. 02

    Score & venue plan

We read the score and the venue together — entries, dynamics, sightlines, acoustics, and protocol for a sacred or ceremonial space — and design the camera and sound plan so nothing is improvised once the music starts.

  3. 03

    The recording

The performance is captured on multiple synchronised cinema cameras, with sound recorded separately for mastering — discreetly, with deference to the room and the live audience. From three cameras to thirty-eight, the same standard applies.

  4. 04

    Cutting to the music

Picture, recorded sound, and structure are cut directly from the score by a former orchestral musician. A review link reaches you before anything is locked — the film is yours to shape until it is right.

  5. 05

    Master & delivery

The graded, mixed master is delivered to broadcast standard, in Polish, English, and German as needed — ready for a broadcaster, a festival screen, an institution's archive, or your own channels. You own the files.

§ V / VIIInvestment

Where to begin

Every commission is scoped on a call.

Classical and cultural work is genuinely bespoke. A single sacred service films nothing like a multi-location memorial, an opera nothing like a chamber recital, an art documentary nothing like a festival broadcast — the number moves with scale, the venue, the number of cameras, the languages, and where the film has to be seen. So there is no menu and no anchor figure: we map exactly what your commission needs on a call, then put a price to it you can trust.

Institutions & broadcasters

Commissioned, bespoke

A liturgical record, a concert or opera film, an art-and-culture documentary, a festival broadcast, an archive restoration for a cultural institution. No two are alike, so there is no menu and no anchor number — we map exactly what your commission needs on a call, then put a figure to it you can trust. § VI / VIIHonest answers

Frequently asked

The questions that come up first.

01What kind of work does Classics cover?

Classical and sacred music on film: concerts, recitals, opera, liturgical and sacred works, and competitions or premieres — alongside art-and-culture documentaries and films for cultural institutions, festivals, and broadcasters. It is the refined, elegant register of the house, with an orchestral ear and broadcast discipline behind it.

02Do you have experience with liturgical and broadcast work?

Yes. Missa Vaticana is the direct reference: a sacred, liturgical concert film built from thirty-eight cameras — the Military Orchestra of Bydgoszcz with the Lviv Municipal Choir 'Homin' — broadcast nationally on Polish Television (TVP Kultura), with Adam L. Nurek as editor cutting directly from the score. We understand the acoustic constraints and the protocol for cameras in sacred and ceremonial spaces.

03Can you handle a large or multi-location production?

Yes. Eschatophony, a memorial concert film honouring the victims of COVID-19, coordinated a hundred camera operators across eight locations worldwide — from Opera NOVA in Bydgoszcz to the Francis Winspear Centre for Music in Edmonton and the Sagrada Família in Barcelona — into over sixty synchronous angles, under the patronage of Poland's Minister of National Defence. Scale is a logistics problem we have already solved.

04Which cultural institutions have you worked with?

Missa Vaticana was broadcast on TVP Kultura, Poland's national culture channel, and was conceived for the Military Orchestra of Bydgoszcz at Opera NOVA. Our wider cultural work runs through opera-house, culture-centre, and festival venues — including Centrum Kultury ZAMEK in Poznań, where the LemON music documentary premiered. Every credit on this page is a real, verifiable engagement.

05What languages can you deliver, and who owns the master?

Polish, English, and German are native in-house, so a cultural broadcaster or an international festival gets a clean trilingual delivery without retrofitting at the end; further languages are scoped per commission. You own every file — the graded, mixed master is yours, with no licence and no expiry.

06What does a Classics commission cost?

Every commission is scoped on a call. Scale, the venue, the number of cameras, the languages, and where the film has to be seen move the figure too much to pin a number to a web page — so we map exactly what your project needs first, then put a price to it you can trust. You will always know precisely what you are paying for, and why.
